Prologue

Brains are strange. They can comfort you, or they can eat you alive. They can make things seem like the slightest detail or they can make it seem like you should be terrified. They can come up with an answer or they can make you just plain confused.

Life is strange. It can be going great one second and the next can make you trip. It can be lonely; it can be frightening; it can be wondeful; and it can be depressing. But what is the most strange is the way humans think.

Say you sit on a bench downtown the whole day. Your brain would analyse every person that walks by you. It would make up a story, for every person, based on your previous experiences. Your brain makes up that story depending on your mood, your recent experiences and what you are doing right at that moment.

But if it's a life and death situation, that whole system just shuts down. Emotions, senses and common sense, completely gone.

A young girl is on her bike, she doesn't look both ways before crossing the road and a taxi is speeding towards her. The taxi hits her straight on and her brain shuts down. She doesn't feel anything and she doesn't know how to move anymore. She doesn't think or feel any emotions; she is in pure shock. She falls to the ground unconscious. The taxi continues speeding down the road without stopping. She wakes up in a room still not completely sure what happened and dazed about her memories and life. Her brains system never recovers. Her thoughts and memories are forever lost. Her family loses her that evening and never speaks to her again.

Found poem

You're never alone
death,
I curse, I scream, I cry
I hate, I love, I feel grief
I wish, I hope, I dream
I laugh, I smile, I sing
Birth

Poem

We always dread,
When someone is dead,
We cry and weep and scream,
But what if they went some place like a dream,
Where they could still live their life to the very extreme.

Life can be good,
But it's never understood,
And it can always get a bit hard,
At times we see it in a strange regard,
And at others we get very badly scarred.

I've lived the pain,
Says a grandma in vain,
I've experienced a lot in my day,
Life is not all about boring and grey,
It can be about laughs and play.

When someone is born,
Life is adorned,
People are happy and love to rejoice,
And sing with their best and lovely voice,
Even no matter how much they revoice.

Death and birth always oppose,
But life comes and goes,
And what if they were just the same,
And noone realized, because nobody claimed,
Yet maybe life is just one big game.
